Mozilla aims to play the OS game

Mozilla is plotting to join the operating system fray with an “open Web” twist.
The group outlined a project called Boot to Gecko on its Wiki page:
Mozilla believes that the web can displace proprietary, single-vendor stacks for application development. To make open web technologies a better basis for future applications on mobile and desktop alike, we need to keep pushing the envelope of the web to include — and in places exceed — the capabilities of the competing stacks in question.

Oh man I have always loved Mozilla but an OS. Seems they are taken advantage of the same thing Google is. I mean if you think about it they are probably like why didn't we think of this? We are supreme with browsers why can't we make an OS since it is browser based. I shutter to think of all the online apps. Most are good but when you rely on say 20 apps that means you are relying on at least 20 webservers to be streaming you information. What a market change. Is this an end to software piracy?

Probably not.
