Hi Guys,

This seems like a stuck record but lets see if anyone is in the same boat.
I have set up my new GX630 on Windows 7 32 Bit build 7000 and have ye olde no sound issue with the inbuilt Realtek High Definition Audio either with the internal speakers or plugged in headphones

works ok in win XP and Win Vista
Tried loading Vista drivers in Vista and XP compatibility modes (several versions including msi website versions and up to R2.22)
Checking the audio properties I am able to tick the speakers and test. The test shows output going to the speakers.

Anyone had success with this? Anyone had more success with newer builds?

It looks like you're experiencing sound issues with your Realtek High Definition Audio on Windows 7 32-bit build 7000. If the audio works fine on Windows XP and Vista but not on Windows 7, there might be compatibility issues or driver problems specific to Windows 7.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the sound issue:

1. Update Realtek Audio Driver:
- Ensure you have the latest Realtek audio driver compatible with Windows 7. Visit the MSI website or the Realtek website to download the latest driver specifically for Windows 7 32-bit.

2. Uninstall and Reinstall Realtek Audio Driver:
- Try uninstalling the current Realtek audio driver completely, then reinstall the driver again. This can sometimes resolve driver conflicts.

3. Windows Update:
- Check for Windows updates as Microsoft may have released updates that address audio issues. Install any relevant updates.

4. Device Manager Check:
- Open Device Manager, locate the Realtek High Definition Audio device, right-click on it, and select "Update driver." Choose to let Windows automatically search for updated driver software.

5. Compatibility Mode:
- Try installing the Realtek audio driver in compatibility mode for Windows Vista or XP. Right-click on the driver installation file, go to Properties, then the Compatibility tab, and select the appropriate compatibility mode.

6. BIOS Settings Check:
- Check your BIOS settings to ensure that the onboard audio is enabled.

7. Alternative Sound Drivers:
- In some cases, using generic drivers provided by Microsoft may work. Uninstall the Realtek driver and check if Windows installs a default audio driver that works.

8. Third-Party Driver Update Tools:
- Consider using third-party driver update tools that can automatically detect and install the correct drivers for your audio device.

As for newer builds of Windows 7, newer builds may have improved driver compatibility and bug fixes, so updating to a newer build may potentially resolve the issue as well.

If you have tried these steps and are still facing issues, feel free to provide more details for further assistance!
