Windows 7 multi card reader not functioning

I have a multi card reader which works fine in other Operating systems(xp & ubuntu) but for some reason win.7 turns off just before the system loads. I contacted the chip manuf.(alcor) to try & get firmware update or driver but was told none was needed. It doesn't show up anywhere so the system is unaware of its presence. Is there somewhere in services that might be disabled. I've looked around but haven't been able to locate anything that might be "Off" by default.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Mike

I bought a multi card reader last week. Works fine in XP, but Windows 7 don´t recognize it. I´m browsing in the web and I´m finding the some problem everywhere. The multicard is a Noganet CR 525, it´s generic, no drivers, no solutions... please help! Thank you! Link Removed due to 404 Error
