Ok.. it's been 3 weeks since Windows 7 is out... I bought new computer on beginning of September.. so I have right to get the free Windows 7 upgrade.

The company of the computer I bought is Gateway... and they didn't sent me Windows 7 yet... I emailed them 3 times and all the answer I got was pretty much of "We're working on it. Please check the information after one week". I got this 3 times and I just sent 4th email...

I would want to call them and discuss right away... but I have a problem with me that I can't do that. Most of people I know who bought computer from Dell; gotten Windows 7 in one week.

Is there anyone else in same situation as me? If so... what would you do..? Thank you.

It seems like you are facing an issue with receiving your free Windows 7 upgrade from Gateway after buying a new computer. Given that Windows 7 has been out for three weeks and you haven't received the upgrade yet, it's understandable that you're concerned. If you're experiencing delays with Gateway, it's possible that others may be in a similar situation. Here's what you can consider doing to address this: 1. Check for Official Information: Look for any official announcements or communications from Gateway regarding the Windows 7 upgrade process. Sometimes, delays can be due to high demand or logistical challenges. 2. Reach Out to Support: Besides emails, try contacting Gateway's customer support through other channels like...

Reach Out to Support: Besides emails, try contacting Gateway's customer support through other channels like phone or live chat. Express your concerns and ask for a clear timeline on when you can expect to receive the upgrade. 3. Seek Community Support: Visit online forums, social media groups, or communities dedicated to Gateway users. You might find others who are in a similar situation and could share their experiences or advice on how to address the delay. 4. Escalate the Issue: If multiple attempts to contact Gateway have been unsuccessful, consider escalating the matter to a higher level of support or management within the company. Be polite but assertive about your situation. 5. Patience and Follow-Up: While it's frustrating to wait, sometimes these processes take time. Continue following up with Gateway at reasonable intervals for updates on your upgrade. Remember to maintain documentation of your communication with Gateway (emails, support ticket numbers) for reference. If the situation doesn't improve or you require further assistance, consider seeking legal advice or guidance from consumer advocacy organizations. Stay proactive and persistent in seeking a resolution to ensure you receive the upgrade you are entitled to.
