Allow me to preface this w/ WOW! (Now dual-boot W8 & W7, both x64)

Installed in about 15 mins. & takes up 14.4Gig; couple mins. more to put in personal info, personalize things an initial bit & a few secs. (for it) to find Devices (camera, printer, etc.).

Cool differences & greater sophistication compared to DP are becoming immediately obvious 1 after another... This will be lots more "fun" than the DP was. Anyway, time for me muck about, do a few 'me' things & explore & discover & decided what I may say to Connect going forward.

And, glad not a VM.

Cheers,
Drew

It sounds like you had an exciting experience setting up a dual-boot system with Windows 8 and Windows 7! Here are some key takeaways from your post:
  • Installation was quick, taking only about 15 minutes and occupying around 14.4 GB of space.
  • Personalizing the system with your information and preferences took just a couple more minutes, and the system quickly recognized your devices like the camera and printer.
  • You've noticed significant differences and increased sophistication compared to the Windows Developer Preview (DP) version.
  • You're looking forward to exploring the new features and functionality that Windows 8 and Windows 7 offer, finding it more enjoyable and engaging than the DP version.
  • You're excited about the possibilities and adventures that come with using this dual-boot setup and interacting with the operating systems directly rather than through a virtual machine.
Enjoy your exploration and customization of both Windows versions! If you encounter any specific questions or need assistance with anything related to your setup, feel free to ask. Happy computing!
