Windows 7 Need Network Adapter and Sound Drivers For Old HP Laptop

Hi guys,


Today I installed windows 7 on one of my old machines I had knocking about, its a HP Pavilion Ze5700, yeah, seriously old. System spec: Intel Celeron R, CPU 2.80Ghz, 1024 mb RAM, x86. I can't connect to the internet or hear sound. I think if i figure out the network adapter, i can maybe download the driver for it and connect then hopefully have a better chance with the sound.

I hear Conexant modems like in this won't work in win 7....not sure if its 100% true or not, hopefully though for me! I have 4 yellow triangles with exclamation marks showing in Device Manager for Ethernet Controller, Network controller, PCI Modem and Multimedia Audio Controller. Tried installing realtek ac 97 audio drivers but these have not worked.

I know HP say that this laptop isn't even Vista supported, so if I need to get better bits, what do I need? Or can I get drivers that will work?

Was looking forward to getting 7 on this old lappy see how it was, please can anyone offer any help, perhaps even a link or 2?
