I just got Windows 7 and I am dual-booting. On XP, I have set 1600x900 as the screen resolution. However, in Windows 7, I have to pick between two resolutions, both of them I don't like at all.

Please help.

Thanks

It seems like you're facing screen resolution issues when dual-booting between Windows XP and Windows 7. To adjust the screen resolution in Windows 7 to match what you had set in Windows XP (1600x900), you can follow these steps: 1. Access Display Settings: - Right-click on the desktop and select "Screen resolution" from the context menu. 2. Adjust Resolution: - In the Display Settings window, you should be able to see a list of different resolutions available. Look for the option for 1600x900 resolution. If it's not there, follow the next steps. 3. Update Graphics Drivers: - It's possible that the 1600x900 resolution isn't available due to outdated or incompatible graphics drivers. Update your graphics drivers to the latest version. You can usually find these on the manufacturer's website for your graphics card. 4. Custom Resolution: - If the 1600x900 resolution still isn't available, you can try creating a custom resolution: - Right-click on the desktop and select "Graphics Properties" (this might vary depending on your GPU). - Look for an option to create a custom resolution. Enter 1600 for the width and 900 for the height, then save and apply the custom resolution. 5. Restart: - After changing the resolution, you might need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. By following these steps, you should be able to set your screen resolution in Windows 7 to 1600x900, similar to what you had in Windows XP. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
