Windows 7 New Acer netbook shows WIFI signal but I can't connect.

I have purchased an Acer Aspire One with Windows 7, my livebox is connected to my Dell inspiron PC. The Acer allows me to get as far as entering the code from the livebox but then tells me I can't connect. Any suggestions welcome. Based in France with Orange livebox I don't know if this makes a difference.

What version of Windows does your "Livebox" have ? Is it older ?

Thank you for your reply. My livebox which is connected to my Dell is running on Windows Vista.

You have attached two thumbnails do I try this on the Acer Windows 7 or the Dell Vista. Sorry but I haven't got a clue and need Instructions for technophobes.
