    Hello All,

Normally I can deduce enough information from Google and searching for the errors that I might get but right now I'm stumped. I just gotten a new MSI N560-GTX-Ti 1mb Graphics Card and replaced my old nvidia 8800GT (which had fan speed issues). I had a very stable system as I used MSI afterburner to up the fan speed to 100% which ran fine for a month or so, but I was a bit nervous at some of the heat readings I was getting so I opted to get another card.

Since putting this in 3 days ago I've been through all sorts of hell with it. I play Perfect World International and when playing the game I have had all sorts of bug reports (crashes) and 3 blue screens all pointing to different things. I've tried compatibility mode changes and everything I can think of but nothing has worked.

So far I have used memtest86+ overnight and memory is fine (as I said soon as I put in other graphics card it had these errors). I have also ran stress tests on the new graphics card and it's all passed with flying colors so I don't see bad memory or cpu on the graphics card. DI have monitored it's temps and it's not even broken 60 yet so I know it's not overheating. I am beginning to think it may have to do with the power supply. I will post up all the dmp files from minidump and system specs and see if we can agree it maybe be just buying a better power supply for the system, or if it may be something else I didn't think of checking.

See attached for the debugs and dxdiag for all system information.

    Quick System Info:
    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor ADX6400CZBOX
    RAM: Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PDC24G6400LLK
Motherboard: ASUS M2N-E AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 Ultra MCP ATX AMD Motherboard
Power Supply: OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI 700W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply
GFX Card: MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozr II/OC GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Any help or ideas are very much appreciated :(

Something's likely with the RAM. Its settings look right 800 5-5-5-12 1.8v, but do you have EPP extension in your BIOS though? Is it on or off? Can you give link to the RAM maker's description page?

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: fffff8800ffcdd90, The address that the exception occurred at

First off I have now updated both of the said things to do to the latest drivers from the manufactures' websites.

After restarting from these updates I checked the BIOS and it seems the only thing of EPP that I found had to do with parallel ports. This setting was set on EPP. Also the link to the RAM description was in my first post:

    RAM: Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PDC24G6400LLK

That's the link to the RAM description. I have updated those 2 files to their latest drivers so those 2 files are taken care of, and in terms of EPP entention in BIOS the only thing I saw was for a parallel port which is indeed set to EPP. I'm not exactly sure what that does or what it's for. Should I turn that off or set it to something different?

    EDIT:
Just had another BSOD sitting idle in game. It seems I only have issues when I'm in perfect world otherwise I in no way have any other issues browsing internet even watching 1080p movies on my computer.

If you see NtfsExceptionFilter on the stack then the 2nd and 3rd
parameters are the exception record and context record. Do a .cxr
on the 3rd parameter and then kb to obtain a more informative stack
        trace.

Great, same link, EPP is on and that means your settings should be 800 Mhz 4-4-4-12 2.2V -- set them this way.

Ok, the crash dump added, proceed as follows:

1). Set RAM in the bios this way -- 800 Mhz 4-4-4-12 2.2V. Reattach the new memory screenshot.
    2). cmd > chkdsk /f

    1. See attached for the 2 new screenshots
    2. Ran check disk through all was perfectly fine

I'm not sure how a new graphics card can totally mess up and now all of a sudden cause RAM problems but I guess stranger things have happened. :(

Here you go. Take note some other symptoms is the game freezing (but not windows os), and I have had the entire system freeze up on me a few times (but could still ctrl+alt+del to restart).

I have also had a few desktop windows manager has stopped working, and one other file stopped working before (linpack_xeon64.exe). Figured I'd throw that info out there in case that points to something else.

Ok, now I know your memory is set right.

Did you reinstall the system after changing the card? Do so if you haven't.

I haven't reinstalled the system since putting in the card and I don't have a desire to.

From the hours I spent looking up symptoms I see a lot of people having problems with this particular card with a power supply with multiple small amp rails. The power supply for this card is recommended to have a 500w 31A power supply. I have a power supply with 4 +12V@18A rails. From nvidia's website there are many many issues with this card not really liking multi-rail small amp power supplies.

    thread: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=193106&st=0
    post: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=193106&view=findpost&p=1193220

*note* I have taken his advice and underclocked the card to nvidia stock settings 822/1645/1900 but that still resulted in the last blue screen I posted *note*

As stated then, there very well might not be anything wrong with my system it just might be the card not liking the 4 +12V rails for whatever reason. Can you see this being the case with all said symptoms? I looked into each of these blue screens and in multiple threads for each they said it can be a power supply issue. Do you think a single rail 60A+ power supply may also fix all these symptoms?

I have never tried GTX570 with a single rail 60A+ power supply. I would get the power supply around 750W 31A as required for the card but slightly more powerful.

Another blue screen afk'ing in the same spot on the game as the last one occured to see if the new ram set has helped. I find it odd every single blue screen so far has been showing a completely different file and cause then the last one. I just have a feeling it's power supply, but is there anything else I can try first cybercore before I spend money I don't really have on a power supply? >.<

EDIT: I just put the old card back in to test system stability. If I can run the game fine for a day or two then I will be buying another power supply to go with the new graphics card. I can't see myself having any issues as I said I ran the last month and a half perfectly fine so I will chime back in on any reports of BSOD or bug reports from the game.
