Windows 7 Not recognizing my HDD

My HDD is found in my bios, and my windows 7 dvd seems clean. I've tried 4/8 sata ports on my mother board with no luck. I'm going to try another down load an burn today which will hopefully be more successful. This is a clean install by the way. Has anyone else had this kind of trouble. I'm using a gigabyte 790x MB, and a WD Black Caviar 640.

So your trying to install 7 on the HDD but its not found after you have loaded the setup? Is there a way you can format the drive again on another machine to see if this helps? Did you clear your CMOS when moving it around the SATA ports?

Also, have you tried setting your motherboard to AHCI mode to see if it works?
