Windows 7 Odd Situation

So one night I was on my laptop. Somehow, my pillow, very gently, accidentally fell on the keyboard.

For some reason, this caused my background to go back to some default picture, my desktop gadgets were gone, and other little customizable things (such as window colors and not hiding the taskbar) were also gone. So I changed everything back to the way it was and I was happy.

Now, however, every time I plug in my computer or unplug it, this odd event happens. It's getting really annoying.

Does anyone have and ideas?

Hi Luke and welcome to Windows 7 Forums. The first thing that comes to mind, and you probably did this, but when you made the changes back to what you liked, were you sure to save them. My next suggestion is, do you have a system restore point prior to when your pillow viciously attacked your laptop (LOL) and if you do, try a system restore. Let us know how it worked out. Good Luck
