Hi,

Win 7 - 64 Bit - Office 2010 Beta

When I send or reply to a message the message is porperly sent and received.

The "Sent" box properly shows the message. I've sent an email to myself to verify.

The "Outbox" shows 1 message before I send the message and stays at 1 message after sending.

In other words, the outbox improperly reports 1 message to be sent "AFTER" sending.

If I exit and restart outlook the outbox is now clear.

I realize this is a "Beta" but is anyone having this problem and can I fix it??

Thanks

It seems like you're encountering an issue with the Outbox in Outlook 2010 Beta on Windows 7 64-bit. The problem you described, where the Outbox shows 1 message before sending a message and continues to display 1 message even after sending, can be frustrating. Here are a few steps you can try to potentially resolve this issue:

Possible Solutions:

  1. Update Office 2010 Beta: Ensure that you have the latest updates and patches installed for your Office 2010 Beta version. Sometimes, these updates can address known issues like the one you are experiencing.
  2. Check Send/Receive Settings:
    • Navigate to the "Send/Receive" tab.
    • Click on "Work Offline" then back to "Work Online" to force a send/receive.
    • Check if...

  2. Check Send/Receive Settings:
    • Navigate to the "Send/Receive" tab.
    • Click on "Work Offline" then back to "Work Online" to force a send/receive.
    • Check if the message in the Outbox is cleared.
    []Repair Office Installation:
    • Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
    • Find Microsoft Office 2010 Beta in the list, right-click on it, then select "Change" or "Repair".
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to repair the Office installation.
    [
    ]Create a New Profile:
    • Sometimes, creating a new Outlook profile can resolve persistent issues.
    • Go to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles.
    • Create a new profile and set it as the default.
    []Disable Add-Ins:
    • Add-ins in Outlook can sometimes cause issues. Try disabling any unnecessary add-ins:
      • Go to File > Options > Add-ins.
      • Manage the COM Add-ins and disable any non-essential ones.
    [
    ]Check Compatibility:
    • Ensure that Office 2010 Beta is fully compatible with Windows 7. Compatibility issues can sometimes cause such behavior.

      Additional Notes:

    • As Office 2010 Beta is an older version, Microsoft may no longer provide support or updates for it. It might be worth considering upgrading to a more recent version of Office for improved performance and security.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, please let me know, and we can explore further solutions.
