Hello everybody
I have Win 7 Home Premium in Virtualbox.
It detects my pendrives but it won't allow me to see the contents.
I get a message saying that the pendrive needs troubleshooting.
I also get a message that the driver is Ok
Can anyone help?
Thanks and regards

If you're experiencing issues with accessing the contents of your USB drives within a VirtualBox guest running Windows 7, you might need to adjust the USB settings and drivers in VirtualBox. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue: 1. VirtualBox Settings: - Make sure that the USB is enabled in VirtualBox. - Shut down your Windows 7 VM, go to the VM settings in VirtualBox, navigate to USB, and ensure that USB Controller is enabled. - You can choose between USB 1.1, 2.0, or 3.0 depending on the compatibility of your USB drive. Try different versions if one isn't working. 2. USB Filters: - Set up USB filters in VirtualBox to automatically assign the USB device to the guest OS. - In the VM settings...

USB Filters: - Set up USB filters in VirtualBox to automatically assign the USB device to the guest OS. - In the VM settings, go to USB and add a filter for your USB device. This will ensure that the USB device is captured by the VM when it's connected. 3. Drivers in Windows 7: - In the Windows 7 VM, go to Device Manager and check if there are any yellow exclamation marks indicating driver issues related to USB devices. - If there are issues, try updating or reinstalling the USB drivers. 4. Check USB Settings in Windows 7: - In the Windows 7 VM, go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager. Look for any unrecognized devices or devices with issues. - Troubleshoot any USB issues detected in the Device Manager. 5. Restart the VM and Host: - Sometimes simply restarting both the VM and the host machine can resolve USB connectivity issues. 6. Reconnect the USB Drive: - Remove the USB drive from the VirtualBox USB devices menu, unplug it from your host, and then reconnect it and add the USB device back to the VM. By following these steps, you can troubleshoot USB issues in VirtualBox and ensure that your Windows 7 VM can detect and access the contents of your USB drives properly.
