Ok I currently have a 32bit windows 7 and my PC is 64bit compatible(I am aware I need to do a fresh install). I want to remove 32bit and install 64bit. I tried this before and lost everything I had. This time I am making a backup and need help explaining what I need to do. Could anyone give me a step by step guide on what to do?

Many thanks,

Luke

A windows 7 64 bit installation dvd, which you should boot from and install to a clean formatted drive should install Windows 64 bit for you - and yes, it should wipe everything.
It was the equivalent to wiping my HD. Lost everything had to reinstall everything. When I tried to install 64bit it said the CD is for 64bit machines so I used the 32bit one and reinstalled 32bit.....how foolish. This may sound stupid but what CD do I use to install 64bit. And do i start it as boot CD?
