Dell Studio 1737, Win 7 32, IDT High Definition Audio Codec.
Drum Module (Alesis DM8) connected to the mic/line only input. Mic/Line In set as default recording device, "listen to this device" option in properties inactivated. Drums sound excellent, can be recorded, using audacity for example. Except after some seconds or maybe a minute, sound dissapears, input is somehow lost. I change or reset one of the options (input for example), sound from the module is back on. Then it dissapears again. I am thinking it can't be a cable problem or something with the module. It must be something from within the operating system or the soundcard. Any ideas?
