I purchased Office 365 (student) and I am having problems accessing it on my Windows cell phone. When I select Office 365 I receive a message that I must setup the program. When I enter my e-mail address I get a message that an “Account already exists” for my e-mail address on my phone. I have no desire to delete my primary e-mail account on my phone to get 365 to work correctly. Is there any way to get past Setup?

To address the issue you are experiencing with setting up Office 365 on your Windows cell phone, where you are receiving a message stating that an account already exists for your email address on your phone, there are a few steps you can try to resolve this without deleting your primary email account on the phone:

Steps to Try:

  1. Sign Out and Sign In Again:
    • Try signing out of the existing Office 365 account if you are already signed in and then sign back in with your credentials. This action can sometimes refresh the setup process.
    []Check Account Settings:
    • Go to your phone's settings and look for accounts or email settings. Check if there are any existing accounts associated with your email...

    ]Office Apps Troubleshooter:
    • Microsoft offers an Office Apps Troubleshooter tool that can help diagnose and resolve common Office app installation and activation issues. You can download and run this tool to see if it can identify and fix the problem.
    []Clear App Data and Cache:
    • Clear the cache and data for the Office 365 app on your phone. This can sometimes resolve setup issues related to stored data.
    [
    ]Reinstall the Office 365 App:
    • If none of the above steps work, consider uninstalling the Office 365 app from your phone and then reinstalling it. This can help in starting the setup process from scratch.
