OK,I got a Canyon CNR-HS1 headset+microphone. It worked fine the first few days...
But when I was talking to somebody on skype,the other person suddenly said that it can't hear me. I unplugged-then-plugged-in but to no avail.
I restarted the computer,but when I plugged it in... it didn't even notice it. Just as if I didn't plug it in at all. What is even weirder that the microphone that is inside the computer silences when I plug in the headset but then goes normal when I un-plug it. It isn't even in the device manager. Please help! This is what I tried in short.
Lime = Can't do that for some reason
Red = Tested,doesn't work

-Unplugging then plugging back (doesn't work)
-Restarting the computer (made things even worse)
-Updating the drivers (aren't in the device manager list,can't find on the internet)

EDIT: Forgot to mention,it isn't listed in the sound manager either,nor in "recording" nor in "playback":

Check Sound Settings: - Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Sound Settings." - Check if the headset is listed under the "Playback" and "Recording" tabs. If it's not there, your computer may not be recognizing the headset correctly. 3. Check Device Manager: - Even though you mentioned that updating the drivers didn't work, check the Device Manager again to see if the headset is listed under "Sound, video and game controllers." If it's not listed, there may be a hardware detection issue. 4. Try a Different Computer: - If possible, try connecting the headset to a different computer to see if it works there. This will help determine if the issue is with the headset or the computer. 5. Test the Headset on Another Device: - Test your Canyon CNR-HS1 headset on a different device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to see if the microphone works there. This will help isolate the issue to the headset itself. 6. Check for Windows Updates: - Ensure that your computer has all the latest Windows updates installed. Sometimes, an update can resolve compatibility issues. 7. Reinstall Audio Drivers: - If the headset is not detected, you can try uninstalling the current audio drivers and then reinstalling them. This can sometimes help in resolving driver conflicts. 8. Contact Support: - If none of the above steps work, it's recommended to reach out to Canyon's support team for further assistance. They may have specific troubleshooting steps for this headset model. By following these steps, you should be able to identify and potentially resolve the issue with your Canyon CNR-HS1 headset and microphone.
