I have downloaded FOXIT reader as my PDF reader. When I click a web link with a PDF document, I get an IE popup wth the question: What do you want to do with docX.pdf? There are three alternatives: 1)OPEN, 2)SAVE, 3)SAVE AS.
If I select the "OPEN alternative", I get some popup below the IE that opens and closes very fast and the document does not open. If I select the "SAVE ALTERNATIVE", I get the option to open the document and it opens correctly. How can I use the OPEN alternative directly?
Imay have checked some configuration option incorrectly that makes the OPEN alternative to fail??

Hi,

To open online PDF files with the Foxit Reader plug-in, do the steps below:

1.Set Foxit Reader as the default PDF Viewer.

2.Choose Tools > Preferences > File Associations, and check the option “Display PDF in Browser”;

3.Restart the Web Browser.

A very handy link is this:
