Windows 7 Program Files vs Program Files x84

Hi

My apologies if i have not posted correctly or if i am repeating a topic.

I have installed several programs to Program Files x84, however some of them may have been x64 applications, does this matter or make any difference?

The install, in conjunction with the OS, normally takes care of which folder (Program Files or program files (x86) they should be in. But if you have manully selected a non default, I don't think it willl make a great deal of difference.
