    Hi,

if you think the corruption is that bad then a refresh might be the way to go. Have you ruled out malware and virus activity?

You could start over. The email receipt you received from MS has a link near the top to start the process over. This time take the time to create a DVD or Flash Drive and use this to do a Custom Install.

Most people do not realize that there are very distinct advantages to creating installation media. This is one of those places where an installation media would have been helpful.

The Upgrade Installation just makes it too easy to take a shortcut, and at the same time quite often screws up the installation.

Could you use the snipping tool to take a picture of your Disk Management Window, then attach using the paperclip on the advanced replies page?

If you are referring to a Recovery Partition the System Manufacturer placed on the drive, that might need media from them.
