Hey, i have a problem with my resolution in my games. Currently the games show in a square, where they should fit to a widescreen.
How do i fix this problem?

Solution
To address the issue where your games are displaying in a square format instead of fitting to your widescreen display, you can try the following troubleshooting steps: 1. Check Game Settings: - Some games have specific settings for display resolution. Check the in-game settings to ensure that the resolution is set to match your widescreen monitor's native resolution. 2. Graphics Driver Update: - Ensure that your graphics card drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause display issues. You can download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website. 3. Adjust Display Settings: - Verify that your Windows display settings are correctly configured to match the resolution of your widescreen monitor...

Adjust Display Settings: - Verify that your Windows display settings are correctly configured to match the resolution of your widescreen monitor. Right-click on the desktop, select "Display Settings," and set the resolution to the recommended resolution for your monitor. 4. Check Graphics Card Control Panel: - If you have an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card, access the respective control panel (NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Radeon Settings) and adjust the settings to ensure that games are displayed in the correct resolution. 5. Restart the Game: - After making changes to the in-game or system settings, restart the game to apply the new resolution settings. 6. Run the Game in Windowed Mode: - As a temporary solution, you can try running the game in windowed mode. This may not resolve the resolution issue, but it can provide a workaround until the problem is fixed. 7. Compatibility Settings: - Right-click on the game's executable file, go to Properties, and navigate to the Compatibility tab. Here, you can try enabling compatibility mode to see if it helps the game display correctly. 8. Verify Game Files: - If the issue persists, it might be related to corrupted game files. Verify the integrity of the game files through the game launcher or platform (such as Steam) to ensure all files are intact. Try these steps and see if they help resolve the issue with games displaying in a square format on your widescreen monitor. If the problem persists, feel free to provide more details for further assistance!
