I have 3 screens on my PC and 2 video cards. 2 of the screens do 1080p and one does 1280x1024.They have all worked fine and very well, all of a sudden yesterday after a reboot my main monitor came back up and it was at 640x480........ not he greatest looking thing on a monitor meant for 1080p. So I tried installing the driver, uninstalling it, having nothing then rebooting, trying the repair util, updating windows, uninstalling updates, pretty much if you can think of it chances are I have done it already.

When I boot up I can change the resolution of my main monitor back to what I want, but the others I can't enable. When I try I get and error message along if lines of "Unable to save display" or something to that effect. I forget and I don't want to reboot again. I have be able to solve that by re-installing the driver on start up, but I don't want to deal with this every time.

So I am wondering if anyone else has this issue and what I can do to solve it. Thanks in advance,

Specs:
Processor: Intel Q6700

Video Card 2: EVGA 9500 GT
RAM: 4GB
HDD: 2TB
MB: ASUS P5Q-E

Solution
It seems like you are encountering resolution issues with your monitors after a reboot. This could be related to driver conflicts or configuration problems. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue: 1. Update Graphics Drivers: - Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for both your video cards (GTX 260 and 9500 GT). You can download the drivers directly from the NVIDIA website. - Try reinstalling the drivers for both video cards to ensure they are properly installed and configured. 2. Check Hardware Connections: - Ensure that all cables connecting the monitors to the video cards are securely plugged in. - Verify that the monitors are correctly detected in the device manager...

Check Hardware Connections: - Ensure that all cables connecting the monitors to the video cards are securely plugged in. - Verify that the monitors are correctly detected in the device manager. 3. Check Display Settings: - Right-click on the desktop and select "Display Settings" to see if all monitors are recognized by the system. - Verify that each monitor is set to the correct resolution. 4. Check for Windows Updates: - Ensure that Windows is up to date with the latest updates. Sometimes Windows updates can resolve compatibility issues. 5. Reset Display Settings: - Try resetting the display settings to default by pressing Windows Key + P and selecting the appropriate display mode (e.g., Extend, Duplicate). 6. Check BIOS Settings: - Ensure that the BIOS settings are correctly configured to support multiple displays and the video cards. 7. Disable Unused Video Card: - If you are not using the secondary video card (9500 GT) for any specific reason, try removing it temporarily and see if the issue persists with only one video card installed. 8. Check Event Viewer for Errors: - Check the Event Viewer for any error messages related to display settings or drivers. This might provide more insight into the issue. If you have gone through these steps and the issue persists, it might be helpful to reach out to the NVIDIA support forums or the manufacturer's support for further assistance specific to the GTX 260 and 9500 GT setup. Feel free to try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance!
