heeeey guys!!
im new here.
i will jump straight to the problem i am facing now.
i downloaded windows 10 tech preview the latest build using windows update, everything was going good, the preview finished downloading, it was more than 2 gb in size, the installation started , i was excited but right after that i had a power failure while the installation was 45% done. when i started my pc again and went to windows update , it started the download process again, i can't wait for all that data to be downloaded again. i'm sure the already downloaded preview is somewhere in my pc, is there a way i can use that and prevent this long procedure of re-download?

on searching i found out that WU stores files in %windir%\softwaredistribution\download
i found a file named BIT83B8.tmp and i'm sure its the one i'm looking for but how do i make WU recognize it or use it?

thanks in advance^^

Hi

My guess is that you will have to let it go through the whole process again.
It is possible to download the install as a .ISO file but when doing it as an update I don't know of a way to make it continue from where is left off if it won't do it on it's own.

Since no one else has answered I'm guessing that no one else here does either.

Sorry that I couldn't be more help.

Mike
