Windows 7 Right-Click within Folder: New only shows Folder

Hi

In Windows XP, I am able to right-click within a folder, and when I choose New there is a listing of multiple file types that can be created (DOC, TEXT, HTML) and Folder.

In Windows 7, when I do the same action, the choice available for New is only Folder

How can I make this all New to have the choice of multiple file types and Folder?

Thanks

You can manually add entries via the registry which is pretty advanced. Here is an example Link Removed - Invalid URL.

You could try downloading the trial version of Windows 7 Manager which includes a nice GUI to alter the context menu entries. It includes some preset entries which you can quickly enable or a simplified wizard to add entries. It is shareware but it's a 30-day trial so you can make all the tweaks you like and then uninstall it! That's just one example, though I'm sure there are a lot of other similar apps.

Good luck!
