I have a Samsung NP-R467 laptop (Windows 7 32bit).

when I press the "S" key it outputs "s\"
when I press the "Esc" key it outputs (Esc + F1)

I have tried a USB keyboard, after plugging it in, drivers were installed, computer restarted, and the USB keyboard worked without any problems
I tried the laptop keyboard in BIOS and it seemed to still have the problem
I tried the on-screen key board, no problems
the key board is not dirty
I went to Device Manager > Keyboards > Standard PS/2 Keyboard
I uninstalled drivers, restarted, let windows do it's driver thing, restarted again and still had the same problem

Samsung's website doesn't have any keyboard drivers that I could find

Solution
It seems like you've already done some troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue with the keyboard on your Samsung NP-R467 laptop running Windows 7 32-bit. Since the issue persists with the laptop's keyboard but not with an external USB keyboard, it could indicate a hardware problem specific to the laptop's keyboard itself. Here are a few additional steps you can take to further troubleshoot the issue: 1. Check Keyboard Language Settings: - Ensure that the keyboard language settings are correct in Windows. - Go to Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Change keyboards or other input methods. - Verify that the correct keyboard layout is selected. 2. Update or Rollback Keyboard Drivers: - Since you've already...

2. Update or Rollback Keyboard Drivers: - Since you've already reinstalled the keyboard drivers, you could also try rolling back to a previous driver version if available. - In Device Manager, right-click on the keyboard device, select "Properties," go to the "Driver" tab, and try rolling back the driver if the option is available. 3. Check for Windows Updates: - Make sure Windows is up to date with all the latest updates. Sometimes, Windows updates can resolve hardware issues. 4. Check Accessibility Options: - Some accessibility features might be interfering with the keyboard input. Check Control Panel > Ease of Access > Change how your keyboard works. 5. Boot in Safe Mode: - Boot the laptop in Safe Mode and check if the issue persists. This helps in determining if any third-party software is causing the problem. 6. Check for Physical Damage: - Inspect the laptop keyboard for any physical damage or debris that might be causing the issue, even if it appears clean. 7. BIOS Update: - Check if there is a BIOS update available for your laptop on Samsung's support website. Updating the BIOS can sometimes resolve hardware-related issues. Given that the external USB keyboard functions correctly, the issue is likely localized to the internal laptop keyboard hardware. If none of the above steps solve the problem, you might need to consider either using an external keyboard or contacting Samsung Support for further assistance or repair options.
