I have a bootable USB stick of a maximum capacity of 30 GB and a current content of 6 GB.
Now I want to make a backup of this USB flash with a minimum resulting size.
At this moment oftentimes a tool "USB image tool" is mentioned.
When I make a backup from this USB flash drive with this tool then the resulting .img archive file has a size of 30 GB!!!!
I cannot believe that there isn't a smarter way to make a backup.
Is there really no other tool which just copies all normal+hidden+system files from the USB stick and finally the bootrecord and compress it all. The resulting size should be at most 4 GB and not 30 GB.
Any hint?
