Hello,

I am trying to compress a file by sending to zipped folder.

The file is a window minidump from a BSOD.

I find that when I try and do this I get the error message "File not found or no read permission".

I am definitely have administrative rights so I don't know what the problem is?

Any ideas?

Hello nevica,

If you have WinRAR, 7-Zip or another file compression tool, you should be able to add the file to the zip "Archive" thus making it a "Zip" file as shown below;

Right click the file to be added to the "Archive" and select "Add to Archive"
Link Removed

The next window will open, select "Zip" and "OK", the file will then be compressed and made in to a "Zip" file and placed just below the original file;

Hope this helps,

Copy the dmp files to a new folder and then zip them up. I don't think you can zip them in place. Hope this helps.
