When I start up my computer, I just started getting a dialogue box that says "SERVER BUSY", and I can click either a "Retry" or "Switch to Another" button. When I click on the Switch... button, it goes away no problem, but I don't understand why the dialogue box seems to have suddenly appeared at start up.
I 've seen references to this error when people launch specific software, but I'm getting it at start up.

Any help input is appreciated, as usual.

Solution
The "SERVER BUSY" dialog box you are encountering during startup can be caused by various factors. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve this issue: 1. Check System Resources: The "SERVER BUSY" message typically indicates that the system resources are being overloaded or a certain process is not responding properly during startup. Check your Task Manager to see if any applications or processes are consuming high CPU, memory, or disk usage. 2. Scan for Malware: Malware or viruses can sometimes cause unusual system behavior. It's a good idea to run a full system scan using your antivirus software to ensure your system is clean. 3. Check Startup Programs: Some programs may have been set to start...

It's a good idea to run a full system scan using your antivirus software to ensure your system is clean. 3. Check Startup Programs: Some programs may have been set to start automatically with Windows, causing conflicts or resource issues during startup. You can manage startup programs by: - Pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. - Going to the Startup tab and disabling unnecessary startup programs. 4. Update Drivers: Outdated or incompatible drivers can also cause issues during startup. Make sure your drivers are up to date by visiting the manufacturer's website and downloading the latest versions. 5. Check Event Viewer: The Event Viewer can provide more detailed information about the error. You can access it by: - Pressing Windows + R, typing eventvwr.msc, and hitting Enter. - Navigate to Windows Logs > System and look for any errors or warnings around the time you encounter the "SERVER BUSY" message. 6. Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date with the latest updates. Sometimes, Microsoft releases patches that address specific issues like this. 7. System Restore: If the issue started recently, you can also try using System Restore to revert your system to a point where the problem was not occurring. By following these steps, you should be able to identify the root cause of the "SERVER BUSY" message during startup and take appropriate action to resolve it.
