That is what I used to get the results mentioned above. It fixed some files but could not fix everything. Then it referred to the cbs file (with that I'm on my own --kind of reference) And did not require the Vista Installation Disc. I've read on the forums that it is a good idea to fix the cbs file, but I don't know how.Using 'Google' I found this:

After running sfc I open the win/logs/cbs.log to find the scan results.It's all greek to me. sfc says it repaired some but not all files.Can anyone help with advice on getting a clear picture of the sfc scan & the repair actions?
