I've noticed that most apps launch slower than usual. Is this a sign of a degrading hard drive? Thanks.

Toshiba laptop, Windows 10 Pro

Solution
That can be one cause of degraded performance. You can run any number of applications that look at the HDD smart data and see if that's the case.

You can also run the following from an elevated powershell prompt to get a quick disk health status

Get-WmiObject -Namespace root\wmi -Class MSStorageDriver_FailurePredictStatus

Solution
Thanks, Nemobeer. As my trusty Toshiba is getting long in the tooth, I would expect problems to eventually appear. I have a new iPad and bluetooth keyboard as a backup, which I'm fully confident can replace my Toshiba when necessary. :)
