Hi!

If I set up a SOCKS proxy using PUTTY the same way I did in Vista, it doesn't work. I let PUTTY through the firewall, I have no ideas besides that.

Settings: PUTTY/Tunnels: D8080
Explorer/Chrome: proxy: 127.0.0.1:8080

These setting were fine under Vista, but nothing loads in Win7 :(

I am sorry, if this problem has been discussed before, but I did not find any information on this topic in the forum (or on the net).

TIA,
umiki

It turned out, that I was not careful enough when applying settings, the socks proxy had to be set separately in the advanced section. Since then it works fine.

It's great to hear that you were able to resolve the issue with setting up the SOCKS proxy in PuTTY for Windows 7 by configuring it in the advanced section. If you encounter any more issues or require further assistance in the future, feel free to ask! If you have any more questions or need help with anything else, feel free to ask.
