Windows 7 Some recent BSOD's.

Hello. I've looked around a bit in the windows folder for the BSOD dmp files but couldn't find anything similar to what the other people were posting. All I could find was in the following:

C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\WATCHDOG\WD-20121226-0526.dmp and
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/75261985/WD-20121226-0526.dmp

C:\Windows\Memory.dmp
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/75261985/MEMORY.7z

C:\Windows\Minidump was empty.

One more BSOD and we will be about to find out whether my pc can fly when I throw it out of the balcony from the 15th floor. :)

PC Configuration:
Intel dual core 2.2gz E2200 model
2Gb of ram ddr2
GeForce9500GT/512mb
Sata/2 Hitachi 500GB
Sata/2 WDigital 320GB
Windows 7 Sp1 /32bit

Last night I left the pc in idle, I woke up to blue screen. This time the /minidump folder was filled.

The PC's life is running out of time.

Sorry, but there's just not that many people who analyze BSOD's
Just FYI - bumping your post repeatedly makes it look like someone is helping you - so I tend to skip over those topics.

Please provide this information (from the pinned topic at the top of the forums) so we can provide a complete analysis: http://windows7forums.com/blue-screen-death-bsod/38837-how-ask-help-bsod-problem.html

At work we run diagnostics on every system that we take in for repair (before we even start working on it). At a minimum, please run the free diagnostics here: Initial Hardware Diagnostics. For more in-depth diagnostics, please run those listed here: Hardware Diagnostics

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions). I strongly suspect that this hold true for Win8 systems also.
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disc-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

BIOS.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed. - I'd rather not risk my Motherboard with updating the BIOS, as it's not necessary.

Don't start messing around deep inside the OS yet (no manually removing drivers - it can cause the system to not boot!).

No need to update the BIOS - but check to see if there's some sort of program like this associated with your motherboard software. If you find it, un-install it.

So now we wait and see if that's stopped the BSOD's.
If not, zip up the memory dumps (they're in C:\Windows\Minidump) and upload them with your next post.
Wait a week or two before marking this as Solved - it sometimes takes that long for the buggers to make themselves known again.

Sometimes this takes a couple of tries to get all the stuff out of the way, so don't be surprised if the BSOD's recur.
We start by getting rid of all 3rd party (non-Windows) stuff that might be causing problems.
Once that's done, we then look at the hardware.
If we can't find anything wrong with the hardware, then we move on to the Windows installation itself.

Good luck!

Had a BSOD just a few moments ago. The minidump folder is empty unfortunately :/

First my keyboard stopped working, then the taskbar, i was able to move the mouse for a while then it stopped working as well, after being 1 minute frozen I finally got the blue screen, but it flashed like 3 seconds after and restarted. Couldn't see a thing :(

Some offtopic

I had a laptop like 4 years ago, which most of the times was not responding. I've tried recovery tools, re-installing windows, even installed Ubuntu but then instead of not-responding it was shutting off. So one day I got pissed off a little over the top and went to the friend's yard. I'm the cameraman :p I should've sent it to the "Will it blend" guy, didn't knew early!

Wait for at least one more BSOD. If no memory dumps then we'll have to start looking at hardware problems.

Aruane,
just to tell you, in this WHOLE BSOD Debugging SubForum, it's usually me (who is currently on vacation) and usasma - other people, such as kemical, occasionally come and help out - please understand that, and don't expect an instant and exact reply within 24 hours. I'm not trying to sound like I'm angry with you or anything, far from that - I just want you to realize how small our group of analyzers is.

Another note - in your first post, you listed your system specs. PLEASE, just put them down in your account instead of re-listing them EVERY SINGLE TIME.

thanks

Hi and thank you for your reply.

I've a 6 computers, shall I make 6 accounts then for each configuration?

I don't quite get the point of your post saying more or less "i'm the boss here". I do realized that I bumped the topic, but hold on your attitude as I'm just as human as you are. I haven't given a single complain after my thread start to be taken care of.

Just giving you a heads up here, there are only 2 main debuggers on this subforum, one at the moment, neither am I the boss here.

What I was doing was giving you a note to consider when posting a BSOD report next time.

As for my attitude - I suggest you take lessons to learn whether or not someone's trying to be helpful. Other people who are new to the forum might also read this thread as well, so that tip was more a general tip for everyone.
