You might still like to check it out:

Hi,

I've installed drivers for the co-processor, thx for the help, but it seems like the sound problem persists...

Regarding the driver, it's for OS X I think, since the file ends in .dmg.

One problem solved, still the sound issue to go... :(

I still think the AC 97 drivers might work, since under the specs it said "Mode: AC 97".

There are so many different versions of the AC 97 drivers.

Could you give me a more detailed description?

I meant the driver for Vista 64-bit, the one that could pass Windows digital signature test.

If you could download SIW (System Info) 2008.4.2.0

this should give more detailed information on your card and what "family" it is.

it seems like its an integrated nvidia sound card? under PCI I find on head saying: Hi-Definition Audio, Manufacter: Nvidia Corp.

weird, cant find any "sound card" table...

It would be under PCI devices > Sound, video, and Game Controllers

If you'd like to try the Realtek drivers, download them here:

Realtek AC97 audio driver package 4.06 download
I think they are not gonna be approved by windows and therefore cant be installed =/

I guess I have to wait to see if the windows crew will do anything about it to the real release...

You have to uninstall the previous drivers by going to Control panel > Device Manager,

Reboot and try the install again.
