I just get them to install teamviewer, connect and sort it with minimum fuss... eventually they learn from watching.
I just rdp in and do exactly the same.
I used to do that but always found the microsoft version to be much slower and lacked many of the features
I've never noticed it being slow, it does lack a lot of the features of teamviewer though. In the past I'd use VNC Viewer.
