Hi.
I'm trying to install Windows 7 Proffesional x64.
I have this same fail when i'm choosing two others hard disks: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The disk may fail soon. If other hard disks are available, install Windows to another location."
1st disk - WD 160 GB
2nd disk - WD 40 GB

When encountering the error message "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The disk may fail soon," there are several possible reasons for this issue. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this problem: 1. Check the Hard Drive Health: - The error might be related to the health of the hard drives. It's possible that the disks are experiencing issues that prevent Windows from being installed. You can use third-party tools like CrystalDiskInfo to check the health status of your hard drives. 2. Disk Configuration: - Ensure that the disk you are trying to install Windows on is properly formatted and does not have any existing partitions that might be conflicting with the installation process. You may need to delete existing partitions on the drive before attempting the installation again. 3. Connectivity Issues: - Check the cables and connections between the hard drives and the motherboard to ensure that there are no loose connections causing the problem. 4. BIOS Settings: - Verify that the BIOS settings are configured correctly to recognize the hard drives. Ensure that the SATA mode is set to AHCI or RAID mode, depending on your system configuration. 5. Try Different Ports: - If possible, try connecting the hard drives to different SATA ports on the motherboard to rule out any potential port-related issues. 6. Update Drivers: - Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your storage controllers. You may need to download and install drivers during the Windows installation process. 7. Hardware Compatibility: - Verify that the hard drives are compatible with your system and that there are no known compatibility issues. 8. Replace the Hard Drive: - If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider replacing the hard drive with a new one to ensure a smooth installation process. Before proceeding with the installation again, it's crucial to address any potential hardware issues to prevent data loss or system instability in the future.
