Hi

I don't know why but my Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller(last version from there website) creates everytime i restart my pc public networks , in 20 mins i can get to 20 public networks.
I had the same problem about one year ago with windows 7 when i updated my realtek driver i managed to resolve it with an older version .
I hope theres a fix or something.Thnx

Solution
It seems like you're encountering a peculiar issue with your Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller where it is creating multiple public networks when you restart your PC. This could be due to a driver conflict or a bug in the latest version. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix this issue:

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Rollback or Update the Driver:
    • Rollback: Try rolling back the driver to the previous version that worked fine. Here's how:
      • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
      • Locate the "Network adapters" section and expand it.
      • Right-click on your Realtek controller and choose "Properties."
      • Go to the "Driver" tab and select "Roll Back Driver"...

[]Update: If rolling back the driver doesn't help, try updating it to the latest version available on the Realtek website.
      • Download and install the latest driver for your operating system.
    []Disable Automatic Network Discovery:
    • Sometimes, network discovery settings can create multiple networks. To disable this:
      • Press Windows Key + I to open Settings.
      • Go to Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
      • Scroll down to Network Profile and ensure that "Find devices and content" is turned off.
    []Reset Network Settings:
    • Resetting network settings might help resolve any configuration errors.
      • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
      • Type the following command: netsh winsock reset and press Enter.

    ]Check for Software Conflicts:
    • Conflicting software or apps can sometimes cause network issues. Try to identify and uninstall any recently installed software that may be causing this.
  2. Scan for Malware:
    • Run a full system scan using your antivirus software to check for any malware that might be causing the issue. After trying these steps, restart your PC and see if the issue with multiple public networks persists. If none of these steps solve the problem, consider reaching out to Realtek support for further assistance. Let me know if you need further guidance or if you have any other questions!
