I've added a Belkin 54g wireless adapter to my pc, running Vista RC1. The device installed with no problems and shows up in Dev Manager as working.

Here's the fun. When I go to 'Connect' it typically shows no Wireless Networks until I refresh a few times then it finds it as an Unknown Network. After I put in the network details and password, Windows says unable to connect. Using Diagnostics just gives an unknown reason.

The adapater light flashes but will just not connect to my BT Voyager 2100 modem/router.

Weird thing is, when I first added the Belkin it did connect and Vista asked to save my details. This disappeared as soon as I rebooted and it's been no go ever since.

Any pointers folks as Vista works a treat on my PC but without the net it's half an OS.

Thanks.

Reset TCP/IP and Winsock: - Sometimes resetting the TCP/IP stack and Winsock catalog can help resolve network connectivity issues. You can do this by opening a command prompt with administrative privileges and running the following commands:
Code:
netsh int ip reset netsh winsock reset
4. Network Troubleshooter: - Run the network troubleshooter in Windows Vista to diagnose and potentially fix any network issues. You can access this by right-clicking on the network icon in the system tray and selecting "Diagnose and repair." 5. Forget and Reconnect: - Forget the network profile saved on your computer and reconnect to the network. This can sometimes resolve issues with saved network settings. 6. Check Firewall/Antivirus: - Temporarily disable any third-party firewall or antivirus software that might be blocking the connection to see if that resolves the issue. 7. Check Wireless Signal - Ensure that the signal strength from your BT Voyager 2100 modem/router is strong enough for your adapter to connect reliably. 8. Network Profile Reset: - You can try resetting your network profile by deleting the existing wireless network profile and then reconnecting to the network. By following these steps, you may be able to troubleshoot and resolve the connectivity issues you are facing with your Belkin 54g wireless adapter on Windows Vista RC1. If the issue persists, please let us know for further assistance.
