I am trying to install a couple of network printers onto my new windows11 laptop. I get the error 0x00000709 when trying to install both printers. I have a HP 5 Laserjet (parallel port) and a HP Inkjet 7500 (USB) on a desktop computer with both Windows OS 7 and 10.

Solution
Got to point of adding local port with "\computer name\printer name" and got path not found . Added second backslash to beginning of computer name and got ACCESS DENIED response. Also got response "could not find printmanagement.msc "

I've found 3 printmanagement.msc in 3 separate directories under directory WINSxS. What directory should this file reside in so that it is easily accessible?

For people looking for printmanagement.msc to add to Win 10/11 Home addition, I have attached the following link.

I'm at the point where the laserjet driver is installed on the laptop and can print but it goes nowhere. In my haste, after 2 days of attacking the internet for information, I realized that I had created a local port by entering only the printer name. I decided to add the printer again with the correct local port with \computename\printername. In doing so I got a response of "System cannot find the path specified." I tried to open the HP across the network and got the error 709 again.
