Hi Guys
Am finding jpg. files attached to Thunderbird emails will not open successfully.
If I double click on the attachment, Live Photo Viewer opens and then shuts immediately. Only way to view files is to detach and move. All file associations are correct, so not thought to be the problem Any thoughts please.

Hello John! It sounds like you are experiencing issues opening JPG files attached to Thunderbird emails. The behavior you described with Live Photo Viewer opening and closing immediately can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Hello John! It sounds like you are experiencing issues opening JPG files attached to Thunderbird emails. The behavior you described with Live Photo Viewer opening and closing immediately can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Check Default Programs Settings: - Ensure that the default program for opening JPG files is set correctly. Even though you mentioned that all file associations are correct, it's worth double-checking this setting. 2. File Association Verification: - While file associations may seem correct, sometimes they can get misconfigured. You can try resetting file associations to default and then setting them again. 3. Security Software Interference: - Sometimes security software can interfere with the opening of attachments. Temporarily disabling any security software and attempting to open the JPG file attachment can help identify if this is the issue. 4. Change Default Program Temporarily: - You can try changing the default program for opening JPG files temporarily to see if another program can handle the attachment without issues. 5. Thunderbird Add-ons: - Certain Thunderbird add-ons or extensions might be causing conflicts. Disabling any recently added add-ons or resetting Thunderbird to its default settings can help troubleshoot this. 6. Check for Updates: - Make sure both Thunderbird and Live Photo Viewer are up to date. Sometimes updates include bug fixes that could address the issue. 7. Reinstall Live Photo Viewer: - If the problem persists, reinstalling Live Photo Viewer might help resolve any corrupted installation issues. 8. File Corruption: - The JPG files themselves could be corrupted. Try opening them with a different image viewer to see if they are accessible. If none of these steps work, please provide more details about your operating system version, Thunderbird version, and the default program set for opening JPG files. This information can help in further troubleshooting. Let me know how it goes!
