To troubleshoot the errors you are facing with Directv2pc, here are some steps you can take: 1. Update Drivers: - Make sure your audio and video drivers are up to date. Visit the websites of your audio and video card manufacturers to download and install the latest drivers compatible with Windows 7 RC. 2. Compatibility Mode: - Although you've mentioned that you've tried running Directv2pc in compatibility mode, you can attempt to run it in different versions of Windows compatibility mode to see if that resolves the issues. 3. Run as Administrator: - Ensure you are running Directv2pc as an administrator. Right-click on the application's shortcut or executable and select "Run as administrator" to give it the necessary permissions. 4. Check Display Settings: - Ensure that your display settings are set correctly. Make sure your screen resolution is appropriate and that any additional monitors are configured properly. 5. Graphics Card Setup: - Check your graphics card settings. Ensure that the graphics card is handling the video output correctly, especially for protected content. 6. Check HDCP Support: - High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) is required for playing protected content. Ensure that your display and graphics card support HDCP and that it is enabled. 7. Contact Support: - If the issue persists, you may want to reach out to DirectTV support for further assistance. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or updates for Windows 7 compatibility. It's worth noting that Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) is an older version of Windows, and there may be compatibility issues with newer software like Directv2pc. Consider upgrading to a more recent version of Windows for better compatibility and security. Once you've tried these steps, see if the issues with Directv2pc are resolved. If you continue to face problems, contacting DirectTV support or looking for updated software versions might be the next best step.
