My F: drive has disappeared.

When I go into This PC it is not there.

When I try to receive a file (e.g. a Word file) I get an error message that it cannot retrieve the file because the F: drive is missing.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Solution
Go to Disk Management, click “Action” on the toolbar and then select “Rescan disks” to let system perform a re-identification for all connected disks. See if the F drive will appear after that.
Does the drive show up in disk management and in the firmware menu?

Hello Neemobeer,

Sorry but you are talking to a novice here.

I have looked on disk management and no it doesn't.

No idea where I find firmware menu - sorry

Firmware as in BIOS or UEFI accessed while the computer first boots up before the operating system loads.

@MagpieDave, is the F: drive internal (part of the PC itself) or external (must be attached in some way)?
