Hi All,
I am presently (still) using the Win 7 evaluation copy (build 7100) and am attempting to install the XP Virtual Mode.
As per the Link Removed I have run the compatibity detection tool and it confirms that "This computer is configured with hardware-assisted virtualization.
I then download the two files given in the links "Download XP Mode" and "Windows Virtual PC".
The first file (WindowsXPMode_en-us.exe) is installed without error but when I run the second dowloaded file (Windows6.1-KB958559-x64.msu), I receive the error "The update is not applicable to your computer".
Thinking that perhaps it had already been installed, I then looked for the Windows XP Mode shortcut in my Start menu but it does not appear.
Has anyone had this issue before or am I missing something really obvious (that is possible!)
Many thanks
