I am trying to zip a folder. I know that there is supposed to be an option where you right click send to and send the file to a zip or compressed folder. I can do this on my computer at work. However that option is not coming up on my home laptop. Anyone know why or how to fix it? Thank you.

Solution
Welcome to the forums.

1. Is it missing from ANY file or folder or only a certain one?
2. What zip program do you use, winzip or winrar or something else?
3. Download 7zip (it's free), install and use that to zip. When you right click and choose 7zip\add-to-archive, you have the option to save it as a .zip file. 7-Zip
I am not sure all types of files will give that option.

Do you see the option if your CTRL+Right Click (maybe Shift+Right Click)?

The option is located in the following file, which is hidden, as is the Default User Folder. So set the folder options to show hidden, then if you do not see it in YourUser folder, it is in the Default Users folders. Copying it to YourUser might help, but not sure.

C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows

There may be another way, but I will have to research it.
