Windows 7 Uncomfortable Windows regular folders

Hey, guys! I`m a Vista user. I do like to make some cool nature and people photos in my free time. As a result i have an ocean of folders and stuff on my computer. And vista actually offers kinda annoying folder icons and sometimes it literally makes me fell uncomfortable to find the folder with the document I need now.
Do u, guys, have any ideas how to make thing better? It would be brilliant if u can help me.

Hi,
I still use Vista on my 2 main computers. What tool or program are you using that shows annoying folder icons? And can you post a screenshot of what you're talking about? Maybe we can help. If you don't know how to do this, try taking a pic of your screen with a Camera Phone and post back here so we can see. I've been using Vista since it came out in 2006 and I don't have any problems with their Icons.

You can create new pics = icons, might find something in http://www.snapfiles.com

But, a word of warning: messing with icons can be dangerous, very often downloaded icons come with "almost anything", even a program that can create new ones - at least if it's an "easy program to use". It's a jungle, best be aware. But danger is tingling...

Besides, re-installing may be more troublesome...

Irfanview is a free program, quite snappy, not demanding great resources. And safe.

Making icons of your own take some effort. You might find something in

You need to make the picture, though. It all requires some work, but where there is a will, there is a way. It will be rewarding, I trust. But be sure to have anything you do saved properly on at least one other place than your C. And if you use ready pictures, do be careful with possible user rights = copyrights, since they are a sensitive matter.
