Anyone come across this unusal behaviour of my PC? It seems to at random turn off at the base unit; I have to unplug it at the back and then plug it

Could this be Windows 10 problem or the PC?

It is an Intel i5
1tb hard drive
6GB Ram
Windows 10 Pro
make is a Fujitsu Q9000

No viruses or malware have been found. Use Avast - also ran Malwarebytes said Linked In App for Chrome virus but removed that and Chrome, problem still persists.

The windows 10 clock also goes out of sync - 5 minutes or so.

If I go away for hour or so watch TV on big TV it does not go off.

Thanks

Solution
the engineer fixed it

a) no thermal paste was found on heat sink
b) one of the RAM sticks was having the problem as well

Thanks to all who suggested
Not sure. It was refurbished on Ebay - not impressed - but least it is fixed

I'd be contacting the seller, with a list of issues in their feedback.

Machine back now. It seems that the extra RAM supplied was faulty to begin with and was not enough thermal paste - anyone think I should do a not as described with Ebay, got it August 2017 - is it too late?

If the machine is now working as it should I'd be tempted to keep it.

Ok thanks - only I have noticed the fan is running continuously now whereas before it only happened when I turned on the machine. Is this what you would expect?

I checked and it's only supposed to come on when the system is working hard. Check your temps are ok by using HWiNFO64

thanks - between 36 degrees and 38 on core #0 and between 39 degrees and 43 on core #2

Is that at idle?

What are the temps like when the system is running hard?

are you talking value in HWMonitor or the Min or Max, for max, core 0 42 degrees, core 2 46 degrees, for min 36 core 0 core 2 40

It made noise when booted up like a hisling noise think it was the fan, now the noise is constant, like a vaccum cleaner. Overall performance of machine much better but just the noise, not sure how to turn off - gone in to Power Options and selected balanced etc no effect.

It's been doing this since the engineer visited yes?

You could contact them again and ask them to fix whatever it is they have messed with.

Have checked the bios your self?

You may find cooling options within the bios which might alter the fan speed.

Taken back to engineer, he will see if it can quieten down, seems to think way it was sold, because of the paste the fan was not working as it should have - he will see options if I can get quiet fan.

Am I right to key in small factor pc, intel i5 quiet fan on google?

Seems that the fan was blocked making it appear to be a quiet machine and everything cleared; not impressed but oh well. Hopefully some day get better machine
