Windows 7 USB Headset does not start audio properly after sleep mode

I'm at my wits end here guys and gals. I bought a Corsair Vengeance 1500 USB headset for my Windows 7 Ultimate machine I built (details below). Everything works great, except upon coming out of sleep mode, my audio cuts in and out. Every once in a while, it works fine, maybe 5% of the time, but after an hour or two, it will stop altogether. I've installed the latest drivers for it several times, switched USB ports, etc. The funny thing is, if I come out of sleep mode, notice it is not working properly, (even though Windows says it is working properly), then reboot, it will not work at all. In that same scenario, if I wait for about 15 minutes of it not working, and reboot, it works every time. WTH causes intermittent audio on a USB port? I know it isn't a huge deal since I know a reboot will eventually make it work, but it is annoying, and why should I have to?

Thanks for any help you can provide here! (I've tried updating my motherboard to latest bios, but it gave me an error saying something didn't match in the downloaded file?)

Specs of the PC are as follows
Brand: Built
Processor Intel Core i7 920 (2.67GHz)
Memory 12GB DDR3 1333
Hard Drives: Primary C drive is SSD, then 3 others, totalling 2254 GB
DVD/RW and BR Burners
Graphics GTX670 4GB memory w/GTX280 Dedicated PhysX
Audio Sound card - Integrated
Power Supply 1200W
Operating System Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
ASUS P6T Bios 2-4-09 ver 8.00.15
Corsair Vengeance 1500 USB Headset (version 6.01.7601.18208)

Shutdown does not work either. I have to have it run logged in for a while before I restart to get audio back. Log off and lock work as long as audio was working before I do it.
