I was just thinking about this so what is better for a keyboard and mouse. Connecting it via USB or PS2. I cannot really think that the operation of these devices should really be different either way. :confused:

What is better? Better at what?

There is no better or worse in this case. If your motherboard supports both, the "performance" will be the same. But PS/2 is being phased out, and eventually, PS/2 will go the way of the floppy. If in the market for a new mouse or keyboard, I suspect it would be very difficult to find a PS/2 only version. In the meantime, if your motherboard supports PS/2, simple adapters can be used, and are often supplied with new keyboards and mice.

That said, I always keep a PS/2 keyboard handy - just in case I need to boot to DOS.
 
I don't think it makes a lot of difference anymore....
Nowaday, most PS2 Ports are internally connected to USB.
