Windows Vista Vista not resolving LAN host names...

When I try to use Vista to get to servers on our LAN it tries to go to the internet. XP boxes work just fine. We append dns suffixes for all XP boxes, but the same settings do not work for Vista. Also, when I try to get to our CiscoSecure ACS it wont get there using Vista, but with XP it does. This is all within our LAN.

Whilst this isn't my area of expertise we have several members who are far better qualified to be able to provide a better answer than I.
One thought, have you tried googling for an answer to your problem?

I have googled and asked many. It appears to be a common problem, but when people figure out how to fix they fail to report what they did..
