There are sites out there where ine can get burned and I got burned. So just letting you know. I will not name the site unless I get permission to but, it was really nice well set up site just about like Windows 7 Forums. Except this one sold software only. Naturally I purchased a week and have not heard anything since. They don't answer my emails and they don't answer the phone. So, yep I probably got burned to the the tune of $70.00. Oh, I used a gift card so I am not yet sure how that will work. And the site is in Canada. Thats a whole other issue I face.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the site where you made a purchase. It's important to be cautious when buying software or any products online, especially from unfamiliar websites. Since you used a gift card for the purchase, there might be limited options for recourse compared to credit card payments. Here are some steps you could consider taking: 1. Contact the Gift Card Issuer: Reach out to the company that issued the gift card to report the incident. They might be able to assist you or advise on how to proceed. 2. File a Complaint: Consider filing a complaint with consumer protection agencies. In Canada, you can reach out to the appropriate consumer protection agency or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. 3...

Check the Website's Reputation: Look for reviews or reports from other users who may have had similar experiences with this website. This information could help you understand if others have faced similar issues. 4. Seek Legal Advice: If necessary, you might want to consult with legal counsel to understand your options for recovering your funds. 5. Be Cautious: Moving forward, always be cautious when dealing with online purchases, especially from websites that seem unfamiliar or lack verifiable information. If you decide to share the name of the website, I can try to look up more information about it to see if there are any reported scams or fraudulent activities associated with it.
