Hey folks, brand new to this forum. Hope everyone is well this lovely Thursday morning. I have been reading article after blog after other forum threads on installing Win7. I'm almost ready to pull that trigger. I've got my Home Premium disc right here and have been juggling 32 or 64 bit. Most likely will go 64. The one thing I can't find an answer to is when I do a clean install, what will happen to the recovery partition that still holds vista on it. I didn't get a disc when I bought this HP pavillion a1710n couple of years ago. Of course to utilize it would take it back to retail state and should not be something I would need after installing Win7. So, should I delete it? And how would I delete it? Will Win7 give me that option when it re-formats the primary drive that is \"C\"? Or would Win7 make a new recovery drive that is \"D\" now. I don't see where it would be necessary for a recovery drive now that I have Win7 discs. I know that it will give the option to delete and format primary at some stage of install. This is about the only question that I have that's holding me back to installing this new and great OS.
I'll be waiting and watching for some of the best and brightest here at Win7 forums to help me out. Thanks alot for taking some time to read my post. I'm hoping to be around here for the long run. I use to peruse Scott Finnies newsletter forums for computer questions but seems like lately he's gone all Apple on me. Anyway. later folks.
